About Tampa Bay Sports

The Tampa area may be best known for its gorgeous weather and its beautiful beaches, but the city on the gulf side of Florida also has a healthy sports scene.

The longest tenured team in the area is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Buccaneers tickets picked up steam during the '90s when the team turned is back on the days of orange and pewter and moved to a new red jersey that was followed by a new age of success. That age of success that reached its pinnacle in 2002 when the Bucs finally won the Super Bowl erased a history that formerly knew of the team as a guaranteed victory for the opposing team. Now, each game on the schedule at Raymond James Stadium is a chance for the Cover-2 defense to force the mistakes and turnovers that have fueled the Bucs for the last decade and a half.

Tampa enjoys the same pleasant weather, whether for the football season in the fall or the baseball season in the summer. Although a bit muggier, the city is still a great place to watch the Rays play. The Rays may have made it difficult for fans to watch the team at first, but after a decade of play, the youth that the Rays have been busy collecting and developing has matured.

This maturation means that Rays baseball has begun a new era, free from the growing pains that mark the beginning of every franchise's history. Even the Yankees struggled for their first two decades before winning 26 World Series and becoming the most dominant team in baseball. The Rays time is next and Tropicana Field tickets can no longer be passed off as a place to leisurely watch a team with futile hopes.
